Two members of the Select Bag Sealers’ team clubbed together recently to take part in Warburtons & Suppliers annual Charity Golf Day in aid of Cancer Research UK.
Select Bag Sealers’ customer support coordinator Julie Ettenfield and senior customer support engineer Jonathan Porritt tee-amed up with Alistair Borrett and Simon Clifford of Earth Inks to earn 94 points in the Team Stableford for a very respectable 3rd place.
The total amount raised by the event was a fantastic £36,114.15, which brings Warburtons 4-year total for CRUK to £143,626.64 after the charity was chosen as Warburtons fundraising partners in 2015. The money raised will help the charity conduct research into the prevention, diagnosis and treatment of the cancer.
Cath Greenhalgh, head of packaging – technical at Warburtons, said: “We had a fantastic day on the 7th June and the weather didn’t disappoint either. We couldn’t have done it without all of you, so please share this with your guests who attended the day and/or evening and hopefully we will see you all again at next year’s event, which is scheduled to take place on Thursday 6th June 2019 at the Marriott Worsley Park.”
“Since we purchased our first Flexi-Sealer we have been immensely impressed with the vast product range that the machine can comfortably handle; coupled with its ease of use and user friendly controls, we have been able to improve our operational efficiencies and reduce our down times and product changeovers dramatically. We are now in the process of purchasing our third machine which proves our trust and faith in SBS as our preferred choice in bag sealers.”
